Carpe eDatum signs U.S. agreement

Austin-based Carpe eDatum Inc. will distribute clinical image management software under a new agreement.
Carpe eDatum signed a long-term agreement with Zagreb, Croatia-based Visual Analysis and Measurement Systems Technologies d.o.o., or VAMSTEC.
Terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.
Carpe eDatum integrates software and hardware for medical clients.
VAMSTEC provides imaging software for medical facilities.
Carpe eDatum plans to use VAMSTEC's proprietary visual analysis and measurement software to penetrate the U.S. medical market.
VAMSTEC allows medical facilities to communicate and transfer complex data over the Internet. VAMSTEC's software is installed in 28 hospitals and clinics, connecting 18 cities in Europe.
VAMSTEC's medical imaging software consists of two components -- ISSA, which is the medical information and archiving system, and Pharos, which is the interactive remote image/data communication module.
In the future, Carpe eDatum and VAMSTEC plan on several joint projects, including delivery of results through wireless devices such as personal digital assistants.
The headquarters for U.S. distribution will be in Austin. Research and development will continue in Croatia.
